Abbott House is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in New York. You will promote personal, physical and emotional wellbeing and help clients achieve personal goals through habilitation services and daily data collection.

Responsibilities include following NY OPWDD and agency policies, maintaining a professional demeanor with families and professionals, assisting with personal care, transporting clients in agency vehicles, and

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with parents, guardians and other professionals.
• Completion of mandated training and ongoing compliance with agency standards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive agency vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assist persons with personal care as needed.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and sanitize appropriately.
• Report incidents promptly and participate in meetings.
