Job summary

Mosaic is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join a team that puts people first in Connecticut. You will help people served develop daily living skills and participate in community activities to live as independently as possible.

You’ll be a natural helper, a good listener, a patient teacher, and an advocate who enjoys making a difference. Training is provided; strong time management and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• Desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. No experience needed. We provide thorough training.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required, where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Lifting and transferring up to 50 pounds in certain tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of daily living skills and life activities to help people learn, grow and become more independent.
• Help individuals identify and achieve their personal goals to live their best life.
• Monitor comfort and safety and meet medical, nutritional and personal care needs.
• Provide emotional support while assisting with housekeeping, meal prep and laundry.
