Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid Texas driver's license, work eligibility status and have a good driving record
• Pass a pre-employment background checks including: Criminal History, Employee Misconduct, Nurse's Aide Registry, driving check and pass annual background checks
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screen throughout employment
• Demonstrate ability to teach, mentor clients and manage daily routines

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, staff and families
• Assist clients toward active treatment goals
• Document all serious incidents completely and timely
• Implement social and recreational activities using approved curriculum
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques
• Teach life skills and personal hygiene
• Provide orientation for new participants
• Ensure safety and supervision during group activities
• Transport assigned clients as needed
• Maintain attendance and behavior records
