Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Clinton, NC. The role involves providing daily care, implementing support plans, and promoting independence in residential and community settings.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (or an associate degree in a health-related area) and may involve driving clients to activities.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and/or first aid certification required or plus.
• NCI and/or MedTech certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and automotive insurance required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and support to individuals in residential and community settings.
• Assist clients with personal goals identified in their Individual Support Plan.
• Support clients in communication of needs and preferences.
• Assist with food preparation and household tasks as needed.
• Encourage client independence and social engagement.
• Assist with transportation to day programs, work sites, and activities.
• Administer medications as trained and document in charts.
