Job summary

RTR HR and Staffing Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Chicago, IL area. The role provides instruction, care, and supervision to residents with a goal-oriented approach to maximize individual development.

Schedule options include 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, or 12am-8am, with a pay rate of $21/hr. Responsibilities include direct personal care, safety supervision, adherence to HCBS regulations, documentation, and participation in trainings/meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 45 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, and navigate stairs.
• Ability to interact with individuals with developmental disabilities in a caring and respectful manner.
• Successful completion of DSP approved training, CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must meet State requirements (background check).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and supervision to residents.
• Adhere to rights, policies, and HCBS regulations.
• Report abuse, safety concerns, and abnormal behavior to supervisor.
• Complete daily charts and documentation (meds, sheets, drills).
• Ensure privacy and a neat, appropriate appearance for residents.
• Attend mandatory trainings and residential meetings.
