Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for Med Surg. This full-time, days shift role includes rotating weekends and holidays and supports comprehensive patient care across the unit.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patients, document progress, and contribute to care plans while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.
• CPR certification required.
• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
