Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Community Support Specialist in Rolla, MO to connect clients with local resources and deliver community-based mental health services. You will assess, plan, and intervene with individuals across ages using CBT/DBT and Motivational Interviewing, while coordinating with families and schools.

You will develop personalized treatment plans, document progress, and participate in staff training to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or human services field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of related work experience in lieu of a degree or a 4-year combination is acceptable.
• AAS in Behavioral Health Support also fulfills education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clients, families, and stakeholders.
• Use strengths-based and evidence-based approaches (including Motivational Interviewing, CBT/DBT).
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations.
• Maintain accurate records per organizational policy and participate in staff development.
• Contribute to quality improvement through data collection and reporting.
• Work with team members to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
• Build relationships with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in care.
• Prepare for and facilitate PSR group sessions per client goals.
