Royal Community Support in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual in a home and community setting. This part-time, in-person role focuses on daily living skills, independence, and community integration, with a schedule of Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00pm–6:00pm or 4:00pm–7:00pm.

The ideal candidate is patient, professional, and capable of working one-on-one, while collaborating with guardians and agency staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required).
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed).
• Support housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning).
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills.
• Follow individualized service plans and behavior support strategies.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities.
• Promoting safety and well‑being at all times.
• Maintaining professional communication with guardians and agency staff.
