Job summary

Midwest Physicians Administrative Services dba Duly Health and Care in Naperville, IL is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a full-time role in Internal Medicine. You will greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, take vital signs and medical history, and support physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program completion, relevant certification (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA), CPR, and potentially phlebotomy within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or related health sciences coursework.
• MA certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA or AAMA.
• CPR certification required or willing to obtain.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years medical office experience.
• Experience using electronic medical records (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
