Job summary

Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center Inc in Morgantown, WV seeks a Home Care Aide to provide personal care and habilitation services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in ISS settings. You will support daily living activities, follow treatment plans, and ensure 24-hour protective oversight.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/Mandt certifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties as outlined.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, Mandt certifications.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to use E-Mail and document services in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Ability to comply with Clients Rights.
• Ability to comply with Valleys and division departmental safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and habilitation in ADLs and I/DD supports.
• Complete documentation in EMR and required forms.
• Follow doctors’ orders and implement treatment/behavior plans.
• Engage clients in daily goals through active treatment.
• Transportation of clients to appointments using company vehicle.
• Support and help train new employees.
• Attend mandated trainings related to the profession.
• Other duties as assigned.
