Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Teacher (3rd Grade) to join Allen Elementary on a full-time, on-site basis. The teacher will deliver district-approved curriculum and provide individualized instruction to support diverse learners.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate and has experience with early elementary students. Strong communication with families and ongoing assessment are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate.
• Possess work experience with early elementary children.

Responsibilities

• Teach district approved curriculum.
• Develop lessons and instructional material to provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt to the curriculum needs of each pupil.
• Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
• Evaluate academic and social growth of students, keep appropriate records and prepare progress report.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Education
