Job summary

Newton Presbyterian Manor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct nursing care to residents and to supervise nursing assistants in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. This role reflects our not-for-profit, faith-based heritage and our mission to provide outstanding care to every resident.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN Program.
• Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Previous geriatric nursing/long-term care experience is a plus.
• I.V. Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Ensure the highest quality of care in accordance with federal, state and local standards.

Graduate of approved LPN program

Current LPN license in the state

Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures; relevant laws

Geriatric long-term care experience a plus

IV certification a plus
