The coach reports to the Principal and Director of Athletics and will guide student athletes in cheerleading and related athletic activities. Responsibilities include coaching skills, maintaining safety, ensuring academic eligibility, and communicating with parents and administrators.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching cheerleading is desirable.
• Knowledge of basketball and its rules is beneficial.
• Evidence of ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants in skills for success in cheerleading.
• Communicate effectively with principal, athletic director, and parents.
• Determine athlete academic eligibility as applicable.
• Ensure safety of facilities during practices and games.
• Be present at practices and contests and supervise gym and locker rooms.
