About the SCLA

The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA) is an accredited national honor society serving more than 100,000 members at over 850 campuses. Our mission is to celebrate academic excellence and equip students with the real‑world skills, connections, and credentials they need to thrive.

Who Should Apply

We’re seeking current college or university employees—faculty, administrators, student affairs professionals, and staff—who are committed to student success. You must be employed or contracted by an accredited college or university, but we welcome applicants from all departments and offices.

What You’ll Do
  • Approve eligible students to receive SCLA membership invitations.
  • Answer occasional questions from students or families during the invitation period.
  • Choose your level of involvement beyond invitations—engagement is flexible and meetings are optional.
  • Leave the rest to us—SCLA manages all member programming.
What You Receive
  • $2,000 annual stipend (two $1,000 installments per semester).
  • Minimal time commitment—about 15 minutes per week.
  • An annual impact report highlighting your chapter’s contributions.
  • Complimentary access to the Innovation Strengths Preference Indicator (ISPI) assessment, an innovation‑focused psychometric tool valued at over $150.
  • Guidance from leading experts, including former Microsoft Chief Learning Officer Joe Whittinghill, and exclusive “CEO Unscripted” conversations featuring executives like Damola Adamolekun, President & CEO of Red Lobster.
Why It Matters

Your approval allows talented students to join an accredited honor society that offers leadership certifications, mentorships, and networking opportunities. As a Chapter Advisor, you empower them to develop career‑ready skills while elevating your institution’s commitment to student success.
