Job summary

Sevita is seeking a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will assist with personal care, daily activities, and helping participants engage in meaningful community activities.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient care and building trust with participants. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are important, with a focus on safety and independence for those served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassionate, patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build real relationships and provide care with ownership and trust.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of participants in daily activities.
