Northeast Counseling Services is seeking a motivated Employment & Vocational Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. You will work directly with individuals living with serious mental health challenges, helping them identify and achieve vocational and employment goals in the community.

As part of a multidisciplinary ACT Team, you will provide services in the community, meet clients where they are, and support skill building, job exploration, barrier removal, and greater

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling is required.
• A Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling is preferred, but other qualifying Master's degrees with interest in vocational services will be considered.
• A valid driver’s license is required and travel throughout the community is expected.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals living with serious mental health challenges to identify and achieve vocational and employment goals.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary ACT Team with professionals including a Psychiatrist/PA, RNs, MH Professionals, and others.
• Provide services in the community and meet clients where they are to build skills and explore employment opportunities.
• Assist clients in overcoming barriers and moving toward greater independence and recovery.

Northeast Counseling Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Employment & Vocational Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

The Vocational Specialist will work directly with individuals living with serious mental health challenges, helping them identify and achieve their vocational and employment goals. As part of a multidisciplinary ACT Team, you will provide services in the community and meet individuals where they are, helping them build skills, explore employment opportunities, overcome barriers, and move toward greater independence and recovery.

You will be part of a collaborative team that includes a Psychiatrist/Physician Assistant, RNs, Mental Health Professional, Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Housing Specialist, and Certified Peer Specialist.

ACT Team services are designed to meet clients' needs when and where support is needed, therefore, some evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

A valid driver's license is required, as this position involves regular travel throughout the community to provide services.

Qualifications: This position requires a Master's Degree in one of the following or a related field: Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling.

(A Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling is preferred, but candidates with other qualifying Master's Degrees and an interest in vocational services and community-based mental health will also be considered.)

Salary: $42,000-$49,500 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
