Job summary

The-Choice-Group in Richmond, VA is seeking an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive employment in the community. You will provide one-on-one coaching, assist with resumes, applications, and interviews, and build local employer connections.

You will support clients on job sites, teaching workplace readiness skills and collaborating with employers to ensure successful placements and retention.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Experience working with people with disabilities, case management, coaching, counseling, or workforce development preferred.

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about helping others reach their full potential? We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated Employment Specialist/Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one job coaching and guidance to clients seeking employment
• Assist clients with resume building, job applications, and interviews
• Make employer connections in the community through individualized job development
• Support clients on job sites, providing hands‑on training
• Help clients develop workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and professionalism
