Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Dedham, MA is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our ACCS Integrated Teams. You will provide IPS-based employment supports, engage individuals with the potential to work, coordinate with the team, and guide clients toward competitive employment and community integration. Full-time, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently.

Responsibilities

• provide flexible, comprehensive employment supports following principles of the IPS/Supported Employment model
• work with individuals, approaching all service users as having the potential to work, and will engage them in job placement and support, coordinating with the Team, as needed, to assist with readiness and associated skills development
• educate individuals, team members, and others about employment and education opportunities and provide guidance about benefits management in the context of employment and education
• represent the agency in discussions with employers and will advocate within the community for the expansion of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
