In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your networking expertise to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve sustainable employment.

Responsibilities:

Client Connections & Support

1. Forge positive relationships with individuals with disabilities, their families, community organizations, employers, and fellow team members.
2. Conduct personalized assessments to understand each client’s unique skills, experiences, and career aspirations.
3. Guide clients through job searches, resume crafting, interview prep, and building professional networks.
4. Teach workplace behaviors that ensure long-term employment success.
5. Offer hands-on coaching and on-the-job training to empower individuals in their roles.

Employment Development

1. Tap into your networking skills to identify and cultivate employer partnerships, creating job opportunities that match clients’ strengths.
2. Understand employer needs and align them with the right candidates, fostering lasting professional relationships.
3. Negotiate job placements and ensure compliance and employment agreements are fulfilled.

Documentation & Communication

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and employment outcomes.
2. Prepare regular reports on job placements and program effectiveness.
3. Engage with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders through clear and concise verbal and written communication.

Required Education / Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field. High School Diploma may be accepted with direct experience.
• Two years’ experience in rehabilitation/providing services to persons with disabilities required. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be eligible.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with individuals with disabilities and employers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must have valid NC Driver’s License and clean driving record adhering to Agency standards.
• This position requires the use of your personal vehicle on a routine basis. (CWS reimburses for mileage.)
• Must pass background check including criminal background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 10 - 25 lbs.
• Must be able to handle sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour
