Job summary

Beacon Group in Tucson, AZ seeks an Employment Specialist to develop and maintain career opportunities for clients, including job skills training, placement and advancement services. The role requires coordinating with AHCCCS/Vocational Rehab and other supports. A $500 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least one year full-time experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree with two years full-time experience; OR high school with related post-secondary credits and two years experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and work independently or in a team.

POSITION INTRODUCTION

The responsibilities of the Employment Specialist are to develop, implement, monitor and maintain career opportunities for clients including job skills training, career development/placement career retention and advancement services. Case management or knowledge of SMI or GMHSU services preferred. Knowledge of AHCCCS funding, Vocational Rehab services and integrated employment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team-orientated environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills a must.
• Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree and two years full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to social work and two years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and four years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities.

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday.
