Job summary

Beacon Group is seeking an Employment Specialist to develop, monitor, and maintain career opportunities for clients, including job skills training and placement within a non-profit setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities
• Associate's Degree and two years full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities
• High School Diploma or GED and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to social work and two years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities
• High School Diploma or GED and four years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities

BACKGROUND:

Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION:

The responsibilities of the Employment Specialist are to develop, implement, monitor and maintain career opportunities for clients including job skills training, career development/placement career retention and advancement services. Case management or knowledge of SMI or GMHSU services preferred. Knowledge of AHCCCS funding, Vocational Rehab services and integrated employment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:
