Job Responsibilities
- Provide orientation sessions and/or individual intake meetings for new clients.
- Assist clients in achieving employment-related goals by identifying and referring them to appropriate services.
- Collaborate with case managers to manage changes in employment goals and address barriers.
- Develop community, resource, and reentry curricula to meet clients' employment needs.
- Facilitate regular employment-related workshops.
- Build partnerships with staffing, job placement, training, and education agencies to support clients’ skills development.
- Assist in interview preparation, resume building, and skills development through advocacy and referrals.
- Build a network of employers to directly hire clients.
- Schedule interviews with potential employers and manage employment placements.
- Teach clients self-advocacy skills for employment seeking.
- Document all interactions with employers and clients.
Additional Information
- Experience: At least 1 year as an Employment Specialist in a similar setting.
- Degree: Bachelor’s in a related field with 1-2 years’ experience, or associate degree with 2-3 years’ experience.
- Familiarity with criminal justice, mental health, substance use, or related fields.
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma and three years of relevant community work, or equivalent education/experience.
