Job Summary

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking an engaging individual to work with persons who have disabilities and are referred for job development services. The right candidate will establish collaborative relationships with referring partners and the individuals on their caseload. The position involves networking with employers and the community to find suitable and successful job matches for both the employer and the candidate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide local labor market information to job applicants.
2. Initiate contact with prospective employers to determine personnel needs and arrange interviews for applicants.
3. Develop an Individual Employment Plan for each participant.
4. Help individuals identify ongoing barriers to employment and strategies to overcome them.
5. Assist applicants in contacting and securing interviews with appropriate prospective employers.
6. Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of occupations, jobs, and local employment, vocational, and educational resources.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Business Education, Social Science, or a related field.

Minimum of one year of experience in Vocational Rehabilitation or job development. Experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.

Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential preferred. If not maintained, must meet eligibility requirements for certification.

Qualifications

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider.

Must pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
