Job summary

Beyond Support Network in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide individualized job development, work skills training and supervision in a community-based setting. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week with a flexible, hybrid schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalency with two years of direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults; a valid NY driver\'s license and NY automobile insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalency PLUS two years full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education or other closely related developmental disabilities field, PLUS one year full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults.

Starting Rate of Pay: $19.00/hour

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Employment Specialist provides individualized job development, work skills training and supervision to individuals receiving services in a community-based work setting.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalency PLUS two years full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults.

Valid New York State driver’s license in good standing, New York automobile insurance, and a reliable motor vehicle required.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education or other closely related developmental disabilities field, PLUS one year full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults.
