Community Access Services is seeking a passionate and motivated
Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining meaningful, competitive employment. If you're enthusiastic about helping others reach their goals and thrive in the workforce, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities of an Employment Specialist:
- Support individuals in identifying their employment interests, strengths, and goals
- Assist with job development activities, including resume building, interview preparation, and job applications
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and employers
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to help individuals succeed in their roles
- Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and reasonable accommodations with employers
What We’re Looking for in an Employment Specialist:
- Prior experience in supported employment, job coaching, or working with individuals with disabilities
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
