Community Access Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining meaningful, competitive employment. Key Responsibilities of an Employment Specialist:

  • Support individuals in identifying their employment interests, strengths, and goals
  • Assist with job development activities, including resume building, interview preparation, and job applications
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and employers
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and support to help individuals succeed in their roles
  • Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
  • Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and reasonable accommodations with employers

What We’re Looking for in an Employment Specialist:

  • Prior experience in supported employment, job coaching, or working with individuals with disabilities
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a national background check
