Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners is building and leading an employment law practice in a collaborative California boutique firm. You will counsel employers and litigate, with cross-team support for corporate and real estate matters.

You will establish client relationships, originate business, and mentor associates, while operating in a hybrid Culver City setting two days per week.

Qualifications

• 8–20 years of California employment law experience, including defense, counseling, and litigation.
• Active California State Bar membership and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Portable book of business of at least $500k with proven origination and development.
• First or second chair trial experience, or class actions and PAGA matters.
• Experience building or leading a practice with an entrepreneurial, collaborative approach.
• Comfort using legal research and document technology.

About the Role

Build and lead an employment law practice within a collaborative California boutique law firm. The role combines employer-side counseling and litigation with opportunities to support the firm’s corporate and real estate teams through internal referrals.

• Defend single-plaintiff employment claims and handle wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.

• Support corporate and real estate transactions with employment diligence, executive compensation advice, and post-closing integration matters.

• Mentor associates and collaborate with colleagues as the practice grows.

What We’re Looking For

• 8 to 20 years of California employment law experience, including both defense-side advice and counseling and litigation.

• Active California State Bar membership and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

• A portable book of business of at least $500,000, with a demonstrated record of client origination and business development.

• First or second chair trial experience, or experience with class actions and PAGA matters.

• Experience building or leading a practice, with an entrepreneurial, collaborative approach.

• Comfort using legal research and document technology.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $200,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Location

Hybrid, with two days per week in the Culver City, California office. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.
