Job summary

Malamut Law seeks an experienced Plaintiff-side Labor & Employment Attorney to lead and advocate for employee rights in complex cases across New Jersey and beyond. You will handle all phases of litigation, from intake to trial, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with colleagues to achieve favorable outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation experience in employment law, strong advocacy skills, and a NJ license with PA waiver status as a plus.

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience with a strong background in employment law preferred
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Represent employees in claims involving workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, retaliation, and other labor and employment issues
• Handle all aspects of litigation including pleadings, motion practice, depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
• Conduct client consultations and manage case strategy from intake through resolution
• Collaborate with fellow litigators and support staff to deliver effective, results-driven representation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulatory changes

Salary: $120,000+ annually, commensurate with experience

Experience Required: 5+ years litigation experience

This role is ideal for a litigator who thrives in advocating for employee rights and is ready to take on a leadership role in meaningful, high-impact cases across New Jersey and beyond.

Responsibilities Include:

• Represent employees in claims involving workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, retaliation, and other labor and employment issues

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New Jersey
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience with a strong background in employment law preferred
• Licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible to waive into PA Bar is a plus
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Passion for representing workers and upholding civil rights in the workplace
