Fisher Phillips in Detroit seeks a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will manage substantive case responsibilities with increasing independence and work closely with partners on strategy, client communications, discovery, and motion practice.

Responsibilities include handling matters from inception through resolution, leading depositions, mediations, and related client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• 3–5 years of employment litigation experience
• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required
• Experience handling matters from inception through resolution is preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Lead case strategy and client communications
• Manage discovery and e-discovery strategy
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations
