Distinct | North America is seeking Employment Litigation and Advice Attorneys for a fully remote role with an Irvine office option. The position pays $150,000 to $275,000+ per year, with bonus potential.

Candidates should have 3+ years in employment law and be comfortable handling clients and opposing counsel independently, with lighter motion or discovery experience acceptable. A senior mentor will guide your first year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in employment law.
• Ability to independently handle clients and opposing counsel.
• Wamiliarity with wage-and-hour, discrimination, ADA, and related employment issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims.
• Manage individual discrimination, harassment, and retaliation suits.
• Conduct motions to compel arbitration and related proceedings.
• Handle ADA and accommodation disputes.
• Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, and hearings.
• Draft policies, handbooks, agreements, and RIF planning.
• Provide day-to-day employee-relations guidance to HR teams.

• Wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims
• Individual discrimination, harassment and retaliation suits
• Motions to compel arbitration and the fights that follow
• ADA and accommodation disputes
• Discovery, depositions, motions and hearings, handled by you
• Policies, handbooks, agreements and reduction in force planning
• Day to day employee relations questions from HR teams

The pay runs from $150,000 to $275,000 and up, plus bonus. You’ll need three or more years in employment law and be comfortable handling clients and opposing counsel on your own. Lighter motion or discovery experience isn’t a dealbreaker, and you’ll have a senior mentor for your first year.
