Employment Counsel (Remote - Virtual Office)

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 (based on billable hours target, experience, skills, and qualifications)

Location: Remote (Virtual Office)

About The Role

Our client—one of the nation's oldest and largest law firms exclusively representing management in labor and employment matters—is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join their fully remote team. This position emphasizes strategic, high-quality legal work for a diverse client base, including those covered by Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). There are no in-person deposition, hearing, or trial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative agency charges and respond to demand letters
  • Handle employment litigation for a broad range of clients
  • Collaborate closely with partners and experienced legal teams
  • Focus exclusively on legal work—no business development required
  • Maintain a reasonable billable hour target that supports work-life balance

Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum 5 years of employment law and litigation experience
  • Experience with administrative agency matters and civil litigation in federal and state courts
  • Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

Preferred

  • Law firm experience
  • Familiarity with EPLI-covered matters
  • Admission to the California bar is a plus
