This is a great opportunity to secure an in-house employment counsel position on an engagement/temporary basis. The role is fully remote, offering 30 to 40 hours per week, with the choice of schedule. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience, with a background in general counseling and pre-litigation management. You will collaborate with legal leadership and operations to provide counsel and resolve issues for a nationally operating retailer.

Requirements for the Employment Counsel:

• At least 5 years of employment law experience.
• Broad knowledge across employment matters including employment agreements, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, workers' compensation, wage and hour laws, immigration, employee benefits, policies, performance management, investigations, disputes, terminations, and hiring practices. Litigation experience is a plus.
• Experience with an Am Law 200 firm, employment boutique, or large in-house legal department.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Licensed and in good standing in your state of residence.
• Outstanding references.

Compensation: The annualized full-time equivalent salary ranges from $150,000 to $170,000 or more, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include full benefits for roles working 20+ hours, a Qualified 401(k), group life, LTD, AD&D, professional liability insurance, and a CLE/stipend.
