Job summary

Viability, Inc. in Peabody, MA is seeking an Employment Coordinator to support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining community employment.

The role involves case management, building relationships with employers, and coordinating with state funding sources to aid client independence. The position requires high school level education with relevant experience; fluency in Spanish is a plus, and a Saturday schedule is not required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate’s degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
• One year of human service experience desired.
• Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

• Works with referrals from the Department of Developmental Services supporting people with vocational supports in securing employment, maintaining employment and striving towards independence with community-based employment.

• Assist clients with a variety of job seeking skills; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette.

**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days) **

Position: Employment Coordinator - Full Time

Location:Peabody, MA

Rate of Pay:$23.84 per hour; plus a $40 additional bi-weekly stipend for fluency in Spanish

Schedule :40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm

Summary:

Requirements:

• Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.


• Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.


• Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
