Job summary

Viability recruits a dedicated Employment Coordinator to support individuals with disabilities in Massachusetts. You will collaborate with the Department of Developmental Services to secure and maintain community-based employment, while coaching clients in resume writing, interviewing, and travel training.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour week, with a standard schedule, and a beneficial benefits package including health plans, tuition reimbursement, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience or training.
• One year of human service experience preferred.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

• Case manage and develop employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities.
• Work closely with State funding sources in a collaborative team approach.
• Assist clients with a variety of job seeking skills; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette.
• Get creative with providing; vocational guidance, job development, job placement, job coaching and customer relations with employer.

**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days) **

Position: Employment Coordinator - Full Time

Location: Peabody, MA

Rate of Pay: $23.84 per hour; plus a $40 additional bi-weekly stipend for fluency in Spanish

Schedule : 40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm

Summary:

• High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate’s degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
• One year of human service experience desired.
• Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
• Flunecy in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

• Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
• Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
• Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
