Job summary

Best Buddies International seeks an Employment Consultant to coach and mentor individuals with IDD through the job search, onboarding, training, and ongoing support. You will manage documentation, employer relationships, and ensure compliance while promoting independence and meaningful employment.

The role involves travel within the local area, collaboration with the Jobs team, and participation in fundraising and community outreach as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of professional experience; Best Buddies program experience a plus.
• Ability to engage comfortably with individuals with IDD, addressing sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to support multiple relationships while guiding individuals toward success.
• Public speaking, group facilitation, and delivering engaging presentations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of job participants and track services in SETWorks database.
• Complete required paperwork and reports for funding agencies.
• Collaborate with Programs Supervisor on billing records and funding reimbursement.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in annual compliance trainings.
• Support fundraising and community outreach activities and represent the organization at events.
