Job summary

The Employer Services Risk Specialist within the Division of Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) at the Maryland Department of Labor is a role whose purpose is to safeguard the integrity and financial health of the FAMLI program through proactive risk management, analysis, and compliance.

The position requires identifying and investigating potential risks, analyzing data for anomalies, reviewing referrals, and documenting findings to support program sustainability and accountability.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.
• Notes: substitutions allowed for college credits or degrees as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate potential risks and issues.
• Analyze production data to identify compliance anomalies and risks to program sustainability.
• Review referrals to determine need for additional research.
• Document findings and report to appropriate channels.
• Collaborate with partners to analyze account activity and financial transactions for case documentation.
