Maximus is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to support the centralized Employee Relations team. You will lead investigations, partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, and HR Compliance to draft thorough reports and guide managers.

The role requires knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA). Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail are essential; salary range is $62,000 to $83,000 per year.

• Assist with various projects and programs within the ER division.
• Assess risk and escalate/report issues with ethical judgment.

Maximus is currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist.

This role is an integral role within supporting the centralized Employee Relations team at Maximus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage moderately complex workplace Investigations assigned, partnering with internal stakeholders including but not limited to HR Business Partners, Legal, HR Compliance, and drafting comprehensive investigative reports.

• Provide guidance and recommendations to people managers on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to performance management, involuntary terminations, conflict resolution, policy and procedure interpretation, escalating more complex matters to the senior ER Partner or ER leadership

• Monitor ER entry point for manager and employee guidance requests via people services portal, escalating complex matters to the Sr. ER Partner queue in the instance of complex resolution.

• Possess working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant legislation.

• Recommend appropriate courses of action to resolve conflicts and issues effectively and consistently across the organization, creating and monitoring aftercare plans through completion

• Assist with various projects and programs within the ER division

• Appropriately assess risk, demonstrating consideration of Maximus's values by applying sound ethical judgment, escalating, managing and reporting issues timely and appropriately.
