At a Glance :

The Employee Relations Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing administrative support and guidance regarding human resources policies, procedures, and employment best practices for employees and managers. As an entry-level position, the Employee Relations Coordinator also supports the objectives of Human Resources and works closely with Human Resources Business Partners to support the business.

Work Type : Remote

Location : Tulsa, OK

Duration : Contract up to 6 months or more

This position is expected to be filled in a work location within Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, or Texas.

What you will do :

The following are the essential functions and responsibilities for this position, performed with oversight and collaboration with the Employee Relations Specialist, Senior.

  • Provide administrative support to management regarding employee issues.
  • Interpret policies and procedures consistently and objectively.
  • Assist in coaching management and employees on challenging work situations, conflicts, peer relations, and allegations of discrimination or harassment.
  • Support counseling managers and employees on disciplinary or personnel issues.
  • Conduct investigations related to policy or EEO complaints as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to employees and managers on open issues until resolution.
  • Maintain appropriate records and files of investigations.
  • Assist management with the termination process, identifying concerns requiring follow-up.
  • Conduct exit interviews and summarize findings.
What you need :
  • Knowledge of Employment Law is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 1-3+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience with employee relations, talent management, recruiting, or payroll is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across organization levels.
  • Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
