Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Specialist, Employee Relations to support hourly hiring and manage centralized background checks. You’ll handle daily operations, coordinate with VPs and plant HR, and drive efficiency in the review process.

You’ll bring a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3+ years in employee relations or recruiting, plus strong data analysis, communication and project-management skills. This is a hybrid role onsite four days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in Employee Relations, Recruiting or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Data analysis and data presentation capabilities.
• Project management skills and ability to build consensus.

Responsibilities

• Support hourly hiring operations and administer the centralized background check review process.
• Lead the administration of the hourly background check process with OGC or Labor COE leadership.
• Submit manual background checks and additional searches as needed.
• Log dispositions and activity using tracking systems and Excel.
• Follow the FCRA process through disputes and adverse actions.
• Coordinate with plants for background check information needs.
• Perform audits of processing timing, accuracy and monitoring requirements.
• Support data requests for labor COE metrics and background check tracking.
• Serve as point of contact for Plant HR Teams and Background Check vendors.
• Identify opportunities to automate and drive efficiency in background checks.
• Lead training and communications on background check processes.
