Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Grand Rapids/Lansing region. The role supports the project team with financial data, cost projections, and contract compliance to ensure project profitability and risk management.

Expect to manage payments, invoicing, and sub-contractor transactions, while maintaining meticulous project financial records. This is a full-time onsite position with minimal travel in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounting/project accounting experience.
• Associate's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Construction Operations with Accurate Financial Data.
• Assist Project Managers with project cost projections and reconciliations through project cost reports.
• Support executive project financial status review through Project Financial Status Reports (PFSR).
• Ensure Compliance with Company Risk Management Practices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project financial records to audit standards.
