Job summary

Homeland is seeking a Dairy Manager in Sand Springs, OK to lead the dairy department and ensure top-level customer service. You will hire, train, and schedule staff while maintaining safety standards and product quality in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills for cash handling and cost control.
• Experience supervising dairy department staff and workflows.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; food retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate typical grocery store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and/or make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, discipline, promotion and evaluation of all Dairy Department personnel.
• Orient and train all new Dairy Department employees and retrain when necessary.
• Develop a weekly labor schedule for all Dairy Department employees for the store manager's approval.
• Maintain health and safety codes, pricing, expiration checks, and organizational standards in the department.
• Order dairy products and supplies from authorized vendors to minimize out-of-stocks.
• Supervise/perform cooler/freezer prep area for receipt of merchandise and verify invoices.
