Job summary

Homeland Stores in Oklahoma is seeking a friendly Food Clerk-Cashier to join our team part-time. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, operate the cash register, and help keep the checkout area clean and organized.

You will handle coupons, WIC and other payments, follow store safety rules, and support managers with assigned tasks to ensure fast, accurate service and a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Basic mathematics skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in related field or industry

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
• Process purchases quickly and accurately with cash register, scanner and scale
• Clean register area and workstations
• Handle coupons, WIC and other vouchers; accept checks, credit and debit cards
• Maintain store safety and report hazards to a supervisor
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly
• Operate cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom system
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisors and managers
