Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely.
• Process customer purchases quickly and accurately by operating the electronic cash register, scanner and scale.
• Clean register area by sweeping floors, cleaning check lanes, registers and scales.
• Prevent loss of money and merchandise by careful product handling and correct coupon/payment processing.
• Maintain store safety by following rules and reporting hazards to a supervisor.
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly.
• Understand operation and safety requirements of the register, scanner, scale and intercom system.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors/managers.
