Job summary

MacArthur Co. in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler to stock and prepare orders for our building materials distribution. You will work in inside and outside areas, operate a forklift, and ensure accurate picking and packing in a safety-conscious, team-driven environment.

You will support a steady workflow, follow scheduled tasks, adapt to changing customer needs, and contribute to a culture of reliability, detail, and collaboration in a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Able to lift 40–80 pounds throughout the day.
• Able to withstand environmental temperatures (Winter, Summer Temps).
• Regular, reliable attendance with overtime flexibility.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8–10 hours per day and perform repetitive tasks.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift in picking area and build pallet/load.
• Efficiently and accurately organize building materials using equipment.
• Follow daily operations schedule and adapt to customer needs.
• Maintain safe, organized warehouse and yard areas.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work quality.
• Learn new tasks with guidance and practice.
