Job summary

Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned company in the Dayton area, seeks an R&D Physicist to advance infrared phenomenology and data analysis techniques. The role involves developing PED-ready methods for infrared sensor data and supporting missile/aircraft modeling and simulations to improve signature estimation.

Qualifications

• BS in Physics or Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with EO/IR signature phenomenologies for passive sensing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement algorithms associated with EO/IR/RF phenomenologies.
• Generate EO/IR/RF signatures using COTS and GOTS software packages.
• R&D on remotely sensed data including modeling and analysis algorithms.
• Provide input to test or analysis reports and briefings.
• Produce reports on algorithm and tool development/enhancement.
