Job summary

ITAC in Hopewell, VA is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate technical and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support planning through completion, and monitor progress with risk management and documentation. This full-time contract through the end of 2026 requires on-site work at the client site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven engineering and project management experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all project phases are completed within scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop effective engineering and construction solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation for client review and approval.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics, identifying potential risks and supporting corrective actions.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, verify quality, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Assist with construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation.
