Job summary

Mead Lumber Distribution in Rapid City, SD is seeking a dedicated Class A Driver to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of materials to customer job sites. You will drive company trucks, unload materials, verify loads with the yard manager, and uphold professionalism.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand and walk for 4–10 hours daily.
• Proficiency with basic computer and calculator.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Load trucks according to the sales invoice and list of materials.
• Organize and secure loads to ensure safe and efficient transport.
• Verify accuracy of loads with the yard manager before departure.
• Deliver and unload materials at customer job sites, ensuring satisfaction.
• Follow delivery instructions and ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and wear seat belts at all times.
