They are called upon daily to exercise a high degree of professionalism as they interact with a wide variety of airport and airline staff and contractors. Ensuring the only access allowed to the secured lot/s are to those displaying the correct credentials. The EPL attendant reports to the manager on duty.

SECTION 1.23 – EMPLOYEE LOT (EPL) ATTENDANT

The Employee Lot Attendant provides a vital link operation of the parking facility. They are called upon daily to exercise a high degree of professionalism as they interact with a wide variety of airport and airline staff and contractors. Ensuring the only access allowed to the secured lot/s are to those displaying the correct credentials. The EPL attendant reports to the manager on duty.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Allow access only to those displaying proper credentials per vehicle.
  • Proper credentials include an airline, airport, rental car badge/ID, and a valid, current month (not expired) employee lot (EPL) hang tag. Hang tags expire on the 6th day of each new month.
  • Contact the manager on duty and landside operations if a vehicle fails to stop for credential check or parks without proper credentials.
  • Assist employees with gas, fuel, air, or locating their vehicle by contacting the computer room.
  • Coordinate with Landside for Pop A Lock or Tow services, ensuring service waits outside entry lanes for escort.
  • Maintain detailed records in a daily log.
  • Complete assignments promptly and keep the log accurate and legible.
  • Remain aware of surroundings and report suspicious activities, medical, or crime emergencies immediately to the Communications Center (911) and Computer Room.
  • Alert the manager if a lot is full or nearing capacity.
