Job summary

Methodist Health System in Dallas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to administer the daily operations of the Employee Health & Wellness Center (EHWC), promoting employee health, safety, and wellness through screenings, vaccines, and biometrics.

You will coordinate pre-employment screenings, TB testing, hearing assessments, and surveillance while collaborating with Human Resources to maintain health records.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• CPA Preferred
• Licensed in Texas as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource for minor health needs of employees and provides minor first aid treatment for employee injuries within the scope of practice for the LVN.
• Administers vaccines as necessary and per recommendation of CDC, APIC, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure completion of all health screenings.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure completion of all health screenings.
• Conducts follow-up surveillance of employee work related exposures to communicable diseases and collaborates with Infection Prevention and Control.
• Conducts pre-employment screenings and Biometric testing, drug screens, and annual employee health history and immunizations update for Methodist Health System, Corporate, PPM and Prime.
• Conducts TST (TB Skin Tests) new and annual screening for all employees, students, volunteers and others as appropriate.
• Coordinates annual hearing test for Physical Plant and Security. Is certified in audiometric training.
• Counsels employees, draws blood and completed paperwork related to BBP (Blood borne Pathogen) Exposures
• Maintains Employee Health and Wellness Center Records.
• Manages the protocol for the evaluation and management of healthcare worker TB exposure and/or conversions. Administers testing per protocol for TB exposures and provides appropriate reports to the Infection Prevention and Control Department and the Corporate Director.
