Job summary

Insight Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an Employee Health Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate occupational health services for staff. The RN will conduct pre-placement and periodic health screenings, immunizations, exposure management, and confidential record handling while following physician-approved protocols.

You will collaborate with the medical director, maintain documentation, and support workforce health programs across the facility, ensuring compliance with CDC/ACIP

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; COHN/COHN-S preferred not specified.

Responsibilities

• Provides evidence-based occupational health nursing services within RN scope and physician-approved protocols.
• Coordinates with medical director for standing orders and referral criteria.
• Completes post-offer, pre-placement, transfer, and periodic health assessments.
• Assesses immunization status and coordinates vaccines/testing per CDC/ACIP guidance.
• Coordinates time-sensitive post-exposure evaluation after needlesticks and exposures.
• Evaluates and manages communicable-disease exposures and illnesses among healthcare personnel.
• Provides first-line nursing assessment and case coordination for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Communicates functional limitations to leaders/HR, without making employment decisions.
• Maintains confidential employee health records and logs for immunizations and exposures.
• Collaborates on exposure-control plans, hazard assessments, and workforce health initiatives.
• Develops workforce education on bloodborne pathogens, exposure reporting, and respiratory protection.
• Reviews employee-health policies and emergency response processes.
