Job summary
AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented Employee Health Assistant to maintain confidential health records and support pre-employment health assessments. You will monitor vaccination compliance, coordinate referrals, and assist with specimen collection for screenings, while communicating clearly with staff and vendors.
The role emphasizes privacy, efficiency, and teamwork within the Employee Health department, with a focus on timely follow-up and data organization.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Able to adapt easily to changes in the work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivation and persistence; time management and prioritization.
- Phlebotomy and laboratory testing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintains Employee Health records with confidentiality and efficiency.

Demonstrates knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures regarding Employee Health and Workers’ Compensation. Maintains Employee Health records accurately and completely, ensuring confidentiality and promoting efficiency. Monitors Employee Health records for compliance with vaccination requirements per hospital policy. Organizes employee files, records, and occupational health statistics for easy access and analysis. Demonstrates responsibility through responsiveness to others and follows up on matters requiring additional attention. Communicates effectively with all staff, vendors, and representatives to enhance knowledge of new products and medications. Maintains privacy of all employee health records. Other duties as assigned. Assists with pre-employment health assessments and screenings and/or follow-up visits, including color blind testing, medical health assessment, Tuberculin screening and lab screening. Coordinates referrals for physician follow-up and community resources as needed on pre-employment health assessments. Collects laboratory specimens for employment screening.
- Candidate must also be proficient and possess current working knowledge in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet. [Required]

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills are also required. [Required]
- Job duties require self-motivation and persistence; along with strict, self-imposed time management and using discernment when prioritizing projects and daily workload. Seeks further education and personal growth. [Required]

- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- in Computer/healthcare related field
- 1+ working experience within the medical/healthcare field with experience communicating with all levels of staff. [Preferred]

- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Preferred]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
